SHOXS 4800 is purpose built for maritime security applications and is typically used in high speed interceptor craft. The SHOXS 4800 has an integrated footrest providing whole-body isolation from the deck.

SHOXS 4800 seats are available with SHOXSDUAL2 suspension, utilizing real Semi-Active technology. Ride conditions are analyzed 1000 times per second. Seat time response to damping adjustments can be as fast as 5 milliseconds. Continuously variable, it automatically compensates for occupant weight and modifies the seat response for each wave. Unlike manual adjustments SHOXSDUAL2 automatically adjusts damping ratios to maximize shock attenuation for various occupant weights and impact severity.

A drop-out seat pan creates additional deck space and allows the 4800 to be used as a shock-mitigated leaning bolster. It incorporates 254mm (10”) suspension travel and is typically mounted directly to the deck.

SHOXS seats are manufactured using high quality marine grade materials including 6061-T6 AL, titanium, 316 stainless steel and heavy duty hand-stitched vinyl upholstery. Available options include SHOXSDUAL2, height and fore-aft adjustments, various armrest widths, head rest, pistol grips, cup holder, chart pocket, lap belt, 5 point harness, black and grey upholstery, Furuno and SeaFLIR controller mounts, throttle boxes, custom control consoles, shock mitigated workstations.
