H.O. Bostrom Sierra Torsion 380 marine seat combines heavy duty suspension with an ergonomic upper seat to provide excellent operator comfort. The unique low profile dual torsion bar suspension provides 100mm (4”) of shock absorbing ride and the built in damper helps to smooth out the roughest rides. This is the optimum amount of travel to control motion in rough sea conditions.
The Sierra Torsion 380 is designed as a comfortable helmsman, bridge or wheelhouse seat for use over extended periods. High or low back versions are available with optional back recline and armrest. Options include built-in or adjustable lumbar support, back recline with infinite adjustment and flip-up armrests.
The weight adjustment provides adjustability and a comfortable ride for a wide range of occupant weights with hand-wheel adjustment from 50kg to 135 kg (110 to 300 lbs). The independent 75mm (3 inch) height adjustment allows the operator to adjust the overall seat height into four positions from 425mm to 500mm (17 to 20 inch) with a simple lever movement. Automotive type controls help to move the seat in 13mm (1/2 inch) increments fore and aft for correct placement in the task area.
The H.O. Bostrom design team has extensive experience of developing high performance ergonomic seating with in house engineering, fabrication, and assembly. The five-step marine grade finish ensures that metal components are pre-treated, E-Coated and finished with a TGIC powder coat for corrosion protection. The multi-finish system has passed an independent 1000 hour salt spray test. H.O Bostrom seats are ABS Certified to IMO specifications of High Speed Code, Annex 10.
