The STIDD Shock Mitigation Pedestal Seat is designed to improve comfort and safety in long duration, open water transits aboard high performance craft. The ergonomic design of the seat can reduce repetitive orthopaedic stress injuries that result from slam loads in sea state 3 to 4.
The shock absorber for the STIDD 500V5 is a heavy duty 70mm (6 5/8”) large diameter shock-absorbing pedestal with 100mm (4”) of nitrogen diaphragm shock travel to soften impacts. The shock absorber is factory adjusted to a pre-compressed height designed to support the weight of the seat plus an average weight occupant. The shock absorber has 10 position adjustable rebound damping for onboard adjustment.
The STIDD Shock Mitigation Pedestal Seat is available in the 500 Standard or 500N Slimline version which includes all the 500 Series features and adjustments. There is a choice of Low or High Back without headrest. The seat can be supplied in 710mm (28”), 760mm (30”), 810mm (32”), 840mm (33”) or 915mm (36”) initial seat height versions to suit a wide range of craft and applications.
